Why is it important for professionals to participate in the ECCE/ECAB 2025 event?
The ECCE/ECAB congress has become throughout the years an iconic event, participated by researchers, teachers, industrialists, innovators from not only all over Europe, but from the entire world. We have in facts registrations from the Americas, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Australia.
The challenges and opportunities that the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology community is facing in the current environmental and economic context are very important, so it’s essential to get an update and exchange views on the latest research areas, technologies, projects, developments and applications.
Many cooperation opportunities are defined and developed following in person meetings at ECCE/ECAB, where one can talk to people from very different backgrounds, who share the same interest on a specific topic.
What key topic are you most looking forward to at ECCE/ECAB 2025?
Personally I believe that a very interest subject of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology today is represent by the application of digitalization and AI to research, new process development and existing process optimization. The tools that are available now and will be available tomorrow allow us to do things that a few years ago were unconceivable and these can be utilized to accelerate the development of our society toward de-carbonization and intelligent use of the natural resources, maximizing the circular economy applications.
There are so many interesting subjects to follow during next ECCE/ECAB in wonderful Lisbon that I can only say: take full advantage of this great opportunity!
